Dar Lasram

Le monument prend place dans un quartier de notables de la médina de Tunis. Le style de ce palais, considéré comme un des plus beaux de la médina, est très répandu au cours du XIXe siècle. Il comporte trois parties. Celle réservée à l’habitation principale est située au rez-de-chaussée. Celle réservée aux communs est constituée d’une cour à quatre portiques entourée de pièces. La zone d’habitation est composée d’une cour à deux portiques sur laquelle s’ouvrent des pièces, dont certaines ont un plan en T. Quant à celle réservée aux invités, elle prend place à l’étage.
L’ensemble renferme également un bain et une zone d’entrepôt.
La pierre calcaire et le grès en plaques sont utilisés pour l’encadrement de la porte d’entrée du palais. Le marbre est réservé aux colonnes, aux chapiteaux et aux margelles des puits, il est aussi utilisé en plaques pour l’encadrement des entrées des pièces et pour le pavage des sols.
Les panneaux de céramique et le stuc couvrent les façades donnant sur la cour. La brique cuite est utilisée pour l’édification des voûtes. Quant au bois, il est exploité pour fabriquer les vantaux des portes, les solives et les voliges des toitures en terrasse. Les motifs décoratifs sont de types floral et géométrique. Ceux ornant les toitures en terrasse portent la marque de l’influence italienne et hispano-mauresque. Quant aux décors réalisés dans le stuc, ils sont inspirés des styles turc et andalou.
